“Heading Home” Bears in a Woody Station Wagon – Marilynn Dwyer Mason Framed Canvas Transfer 156/500

Four cubs are climbing all over the luggage in the back of a woody station wagon while Mama and Papa Bear sit up front and a bright green canoe rides on the roof, and you can tell everyone in that car had a very good day at the lake. It is a canvas transfer print, not an original painting, hand numbered 156 of 500 and dated 2007, framed in natural raw birch with contrasting dark willow tree bark, a woodland border right around the scene.

Marilynn Dwyer Mason was born in Butte on June 17, 1943 and knew at two years old that she was an artist. She painted her small Montana town, the wildlife and the local people, and later in life she began painting realistic bears in nostalgic, whimsical settings, which is what people came to love her for. Her Mason Maloof Designs is now Dwyer Mason Art. This framed piece measures approximately 4 ft 3.5 in wide x 3 ft 5 in long.
