Antique Detecto No. 4 Cast-Iron Balance Scale

A Detecto No. 4 cast iron balance scale, made in New York, USA, with an 8 lb capacity and that old world shape you recognize before you ever read the name. Please note: it is not in working order, so this one is decorative. It looks wonderful on a kitchen counter with a bowl of lemons sitting on the pan, or on a home office desk, or worked into a curated vintage display. Cast iron, and heavy the way cast iron ought to be.
