Vintage US Army Wooden Ammunition Crate — 81mm

This wooden crate was made for the US Army to carry 81mm HE M29 and M29C mortar rounds, and the hardware is all still on it: a hinged lid, a secure metal latch and nylon rope carrying handles. Use it for firewood or blankets beside the hearth, park it at the foot of a bed, or stack it in an office where somebody will ask about it. It has military character you cannot fake and plenty of storage inside. This crate measures approximately 26" x 16".
