Banded Fortification Agate Slice

A banded fortification agate slice from Uruguay, 4 inches wide - fortification banding takes its name from the sharp angular layers that look like the walls of a fortress seen from above.

Agate is long associated with balance and grounding in crystal-lore traditions. A striking natural accent, and unique in its banding to itself.
