Generac GP6500 Portable Generator

When the power goes out up here, and it will, this is the machine you want sitting in the garage. The Generac GP6500 runs an OHV engine with a steel fuel tank and Generac's PowerRush technology, which the manufacturer rates at over 40 percent more starting capacity, so it picks up a well pump or a refrigerator without complaining about it. A low-oil-level shutdown looks after the engine, and the heavy-duty wheels and foldable handle mean one person can roll it out of the shed to wherever the power is needed and store it back compactly when the storm passes.
