Vintage Navajo Hand-Beaded Yei Necklace on Deer Skin

This Navajo Yei necklace has its figures beaded by hand and stitched down onto a deer skin backing, worked in brown, blue, white, black and green. Look at the Yei figures up close and you can see where the beadwork turns the corner around each one, all of it done a bead at a time. It is a beautiful example of Navajo craftsmanship and it wears best over something plain so nothing competes with it. This necklace measures approximately 29" long and weighs about 60 g.
