Vintage Hedlund Mokomis Ill. Wooden Toboggan

This vintage Hedlund toboggan is marked Mokomis, Ill. right on the wood, solid construction with rope grab lines and that long, low profile that has not changed in a hundred years. The rope and the warm grain are what make it, and it looks wonderful running up a lodge wall, along a stairwell, or standing on end beside the fireplace. It carries the wear you would expect from a sled that actually got used, which is the whole reason to own this one instead of a new one.
