Autumn Boulder Bay is an original photograph by John Charles Hummel, taken right here at the edge of Big Bear Lake on September 10, 2009, and it catches that warm gold hour when the fall color comes all the way down to the water. He shot it on a Nikon D-series camera and printed it to gallery standards on metallic photo paper over acid-neutralized mat board, which is why the light in it still looks wet.
