Owyhee Picture Jasper Stone

An Owyhee picture jasper from the Idaho and Oregon border country, with the soft landscape banding that gives picture jasper its name: horizon lines, dune shapes, and washes of tan and earth color that look painted rather than formed. Owyhee material comes out of a limited stretch of high desert, so each stone is its own small scene and this one is unique to itself. Jasper is a grounding stone that invites inner reflection. Good for lapidary work, or fine left exactly as it is on your shelf.
