Speckled Petrified Wood Slab from Utah - 7 in

This petrified wood slab came out of Utah, and the cut face carries a distinctive speckled pattern running right across it where minerals replaced the original cell structure of the tree. Petrified wood is a record of patience, a tree turned to stone over a length of time that is genuinely hard to hold in your head. Stand it on a shelf or lay it flat on a desk where people will pick it up. No two slabs carry the same markings, so the speckling and color are unique to this piece. This slab measures approximately 7 in wide.
