Rare Vintage Hertwig Katzhütte "The Skier" Art Deco Porcelain Figurine, c.1930

This rare little skier was made in Germany around 1930 by Porzellanfabrik Hertwig and Co. of Katzhütte, a factory celebrated for its Art Deco porcelain figures. He stands posed with his skis and poles in hand, confident as anything, and the hand-painted detail on his face and clothes is still crisp. Set him on a mantel in a ski lodge or on a shelf with the rest of your porcelain and he holds his own beautifully. He is close to a hundred years old, so please look through the photos for wear before you buy.
